The number of people killed as a result of a rocket attack on a residential building in Dnipro on January 14 has increased to 45 people.
This was announced by the head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA Valentin Reznichenko.
"According to the updated information, the Russian rocket killed 45 people, including 6 children," the message reads.
Reznichenko said that rescuers, police, city and regional authorities brought flowers to the broken house in memory of the innocent lives taken by the Russians.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Dnipro, Boris Filatov, said that according to preliminary estimates, more than 50 people will be killed as a result of the attack by the Russian occupiers on the Dnipro.
According to him, the chances of finding someone under the rubble are now close to zero, since the temperature was cold at night and rocket fuel was burning after the impact.
"At the moment, 25 people are considered missing, and to be honest, we are completely sifting through the garbage so that no fragment of the bodies disappears, but I was told that there is a possibility that some people simply "evaporated", Filatov said.
He added that rescuers are now planning to examine the roof of the building, as bodies could have been thrown there as a result of the Russian strike.
"Well, let's do it. According to preliminary estimates, there will be 50+ victims," Filatov said.
We will remind that on January 14, during another massive attack, Russian troops hit a high-rise building in Dnipro with an Kh-22 missile.
As it became known, as a result of the attack by Russian terrorists, 236 apartments were destroyed in such a way that they cannot be restored.
In Dnipro, on January 17, it was announced that the search and rescue operation at the site of the impact on the high-rise building was over.
