The Office of the President approved the resignation of Oleksiy Arestovych from the post of freelance adviser to the head of the Office of the President.
This was stated by the spokesman of the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Nikiforov, Suspilne reports.
At the same time, Nikiforov did not clarify any information about the reasons for Arestovych's dismissal.
We will remind, on January 17, Arestovych wrote a statement of resignation, after his statement about the rocket that hit the house in Dnipro and caused a wide response.
It will be recalled that on January 14, during another mass attack by the Russians, one of the rockets hit a multi-story building in Dnipro, as a result of which dozens of people were killed and injured.
At the same time, Arestovych said in the evening after the tragedy that the Ukrainian air defense system allegedly first fired a Russian missile, after which it fell on a house in Dnipro.
After this statement by Arestovych, the Russian propaganda media spread the words of the adviser to the Prime Minister, traditionally accusing the Ukrainians of allegedly being the ones to blame for the tragedy.
After Arestovych's words, they were denied in the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They said that the Ukrainian military does not have weapons capable of shooting down this type of missile, and all previous official statements about the destruction of such missiles were false (we were talking about the Russian Kh-22).
In turn, Arestovych initially apologized for his statement, but later "retracted" it, based on the fact that he allegedly made an assumption and was misunderstood.
