Today, the adviser of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovych, has written a statement of resignation. He announced this on his Facebook page.
"Wrote a resignation letter. I want to show an example of civilized behavior: a fundamental mistake, therefore, resign," wrote the adviser to the VP.
We wrote that deputies of the Verkhovna Rada took the initiative to release Arestovych after his scandalous statement in an interview with Mark Feigin. The adviser of the OPU began to claim that the alleged tragedy on January 14 in the Dnipro occurred due to the downing of a Russian missile by air defense systems of the Ukrainian military. The information voiced by Areshtovych at the time was immediately denied by the Air Force Command, which stated that the Armed Forces did not have such means and air defense systems that could shoot down the Kh-22 missile that the Russians launched from the Dnipro.
