Oleksiy Arestovych, a former advisor to the Presidential Office, published an actual election program on his social media, indirectly confirming his intention to run for the presidency.
In addition to the points about fighting corruption, reducing taxes, developing the economy and education (which all politicians promise in one way or another), two points in the program draw attention:
- "We are taking up strategic defense at the front. We are changing the personnel policy in the Defense Forces to a human-centered one: to save more lives, to train more specialists. We are changing the mobilization system: we are introducing the training of reserves ahead of time and rotation of mobilized personnel. We are releasing men abroad with the condition of returning in case of call-up."
- "The West's proposal - we are ready for Kissinger's option - is to demand accession to NATO with the obligation not to recapture the territories occupied at the time of accession, but to seek their return only through political means."
As a reminder, Bankova's official position is that all Ukrainian territories within the 1991 borders should be completely liberated.
It is worth noting that recently, Arestovych has sharply increased his rhetoric against Zelensky and the Ukrainian government in general. According to media reports, the former advisor left the country a long time ago and is now in the European Union.
