Arestovich: We will close the sky ourselves, we just need weapons

Oleksiy Arestovych, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, believes that Ukraine itself can "close the sky" to the Russian military aviation if it receives the necessary weapons. He expressed this opinion in an interview with Dmitry Gordon, the founder of the Internet publication GORDON.

"Is there any prospect that the Americans will close the Ukrainian sky?" - Gordon asked.

"I think we [ourselves] will close the sky," Arestovich replied. - We just need weapons. We're perfectly capable of closing that sky ourselves. We've been closing it and we're going to close it."

He reported that in the last 24 hours alone the Ukrainian army shot down four enemy aircraft, two helicopters and one "operational-tactical" drone.

In addition, Ukraine managed to intercept several cruise missiles, Arestovich added.
