Ukraine and the EU signed a memorandum on 18 billion euros of macro-financial assistance from the European Union for 2023, the Ukrainian government expects the first tranche of 3 billion this week, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said on Twitter.
"Ukraine and the EU have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the provision of 18 billion euros of macro-financial assistance. This week we expect to receive a tranche of 3 billion euros. I am grateful to Ursula von der Leyen and Valdis Dombrovskis. This will help Ukraine to maintain macroeconomic stability in the future," Shmyhal wrote.
In mid-December, the European Council finally approved 18 billion euros for 2023 for Ukraine.
