Joint aviation exercises with the Russians have begun in Belarus and will continue until February

Training of aviation units, in which Russian and Belarusian military personnel participate, has begun in Belarus.

 This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.

 The forces of the "aviation component of the regional group of troops" are involved in the flight tactical exercises, which will continue from January 16 to February 1.

 "All airfields and training grounds of the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are involved in the exercise," the statement said.

 The goal of the exercises is to increase compatibility for joint performance of tasks, they plan to practice intelligence, joint border patrol, air support of ground forces, landing of tactical landings, delivery of cargo, evacuation of the wounded.

 Training was announced in advance. In connection with them, more frequent air alarms are possible in Ukraine.

 British intelligence believes that the new deployment of Russian aircraft in Belarus is currently not preparation for additional offensive operations against Ukraine.
