Serhii Gaidai, the head of the Luhansk Military District, reported that the Ukrainian military continues to defend itself in the Bilogorivka area and "improved" its positions a little.
"There are quite serious hostilities going on there. Our Defense Forces are holding their positions, they have even improved them a little and are not giving the Russian occupation troops the opportunity to advance," he said during the briefing.
Gaidai added that the territory of Bilogorivka was destroyed by shelling by the Russians, so the settlement no longer exists. He noted that Russia is shelling Bilogorivka with heavy artillery, tanks, aerial bombs and missiles.
The head of the RMA reminded that "one of the most disgraceful operations of the Russian troops" was carried out in Bilogorivka, when the invaders lost about 100 pieces of equipment and about 500 soldiers there.
