The spokeswoman of the "South" operational command, Natalia Gumenyuk, said that the Russian military is preparing for a new massive missile attack on Ukraine, which may take place on January 6-7, before the Christmas holiday. She announced this on the air of the telethon.
"We understand and, analyzing, expect that this (rocket attack) may be in the area of the Orthodox Christmas," Humenyuk said.
She reported that there are currently three Russian ships in the Black Sea, and there are no missile carriers among them - at the end of December, they were returned to the base point for re-equipment. According to the spokesman, this may mean the preparation of a new missile attack on Ukraine.
Humenyuk also said that the Russian army has enough Iranian drones, which are often used at night recently.
At the same time, the press service of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook that three Russian ships are currently on combat duty in the Black Sea, and two in the Sea of Azov. Another nine ships of the Russian Federation are stationed in the Mediterranean Sea, and five of them are Caliber carriers, and the total salvo is 76 cruise missiles.
In addition, over the last day, 23 vessels passed through the Kerch-Yenikal Strait to the Sea of Azov (5 from the Bosphorus Strait), and 18 vessels to the Black Sea (6 of them continued their movement in the direction of the Bosphorus) for the benefit of the Russian Federation.
