Preparations for the transfer of Patriot to Ukraine have begun - Kuleba

Preparations for the transfer of the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine have begun. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba during a briefing.

"We expect the deployment of Patriot as soon as possible, preparations for the transfer of these systems have already begun," said Kuleba.

He noted that now President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and his entire diplomatic team are intensively working on new solutions regarding the supply of new types of Western weapons.

"This is primarily about the supply of Western-style tanks and other armored vehicles. I have no doubt that the Ukrainian army will soon have additional armor and firepower," Kuleba said.

Earlier, Dmytro Kuleba reported that the US government had drawn up a special plan so that the Patriot missile battery would be ready for operation in the country in less than six months, although training usually takes up to a year.

The Patriot system is part of a new package of US military aid.
