The Ministry of Defense answered whether they would warn Ukrainians in advance about a new offensive by Russian troops

The deputy head of the Ministry of Defense, Hanna Malyar, said that it was "incorrect to guarantee" a warning to Ukrainians about a new large-scale offensive of the Russian Federation's troops on Ukraine. She announced this on the air of the telethon.

This is how Malyar commented on the question of whether the military command will inform the population in the event of the arrival of the Russian military, in particular from Belarus. According to her, in this situation it is "incorrect to talk about warnings", since the possible scenarios of the Russian Federation's actions are not known until the last moment.

"... The enemy has, as it were, several scenarios, and they are orienting themselves to the situation. They also make decisions in the last hours, and those who implement them do not know the day before how, where and what decisions they will implement," Malyar explained.

She also noted that the troops involved in the invasion of Ukraine did not know until the last moment whether they would advance and where.

At the same time, the deputy minister said that during the war, "anything can happen", and the Ukrainian authorities are preparing for any actions by the Russian army.

Malyar emphasized that the department always openly informs about the movement of personnel and equipment on the territory of Belarus, which has been happening since February.

"They are constantly simulating training there, in fact we understand that it is a state of readiness," she said.
