Ukraine plans to develop air-to-air drones capable of shooting down the Shahed

Ukraine plans to develop air-to-air drones capable of shooting down Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones.

This was stated by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, reports ABC.

According to the minister, Ukraine is already conducting research and development of drones that can fight other drones.

"I can already say that the situation with drones will change dramatically in February or March," Fedorov noted.

In addition, he said that Ukraine purchased about 1,400 drones for reconnaissance, battlefield surveillance and reconnaissance. The next step, according to the minister, is to equip the army with attack drones.

He clarified that it is about both kamikaze and attack drones. Some of them are being developed in Ukraine.

Fedorov emphasized that in the future, missions with attack drones will increase.
