The Russian occupiers are experiencing a shortage of ammunition in Ukraine and measures to reduce the shortage of personnel, this remains the main reason holding back their advance in Ukraine, according to a defense intelligence report published on Twitter by the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
"Since October, Russia has strengthened its forces in Ukraine by tens of thousands of reservists. Despite the reduction of the acute shortage of personnel, the lack of ammunition is likely to remain a key deterrent for Russian offensive operations," the report says.
According to British intelligence, the vulnerability of the current operational scheme of the Russian Federation is that even the simple conduct of defensive operations along the long front line requires a significant daily expenditure of shells and missiles.
"Russia has probably limited its long-range missile strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure to about once a week due to the limited availability of cruise missiles. Likewise, Russia is unlikely to have increased its artillery ammunition stockpile enough to be able to conduct large-scale offensive operations," the summary emphasizes.
