The head of the Ministry of Energy Herman Galushchenko said that the Ukrainian energy system will be restored according to a new model, as a result of which it will become the most modern in the world. He announced this during a telethon on "Apostrophe TV".
According to the minister, the authorities do not want to restore the energy system "as it was", according to the old model, in particular, due to military risks from the Russian Federation.
"The point is that we don't want to restore what was old. We want to make this system completely new, because we do not have the right to simply restore it in the old way," he said.
Galushchenko does not rule out that Ukrainians will live under military threats "all their lives", therefore the new energy system must be built taking into account the possible task of strikes by missiles, drones or artillery.
"Of course, we will rebuild from the point of view of safety - this is the first criterion, and then it (the power system) will definitely be newer and with the latest technical achievements. There will be a lot of things. It will be the most modern system in the world," said the head of the department.
