He said this during the speech of the Collegium of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the call for war by the Russians was also necessary to stabilize the situation and "protect new territories."
"Private mobilization was carried out to stabilize the situation, protect new territories and carry out further offensive actions," he said.
Shoigu also said that the priority task for 2023 is to continue the invasion of the territory of Ukraine and bring the so-called "special operation" to its conclusion.
"It is necessary to continue the special military operation until the tasks are fully completed," the Russian minister said.
