Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the partial mobilization in the Russian Federation will be completed in the coming weeks: since September 21, 222,000 Russians have already been mobilized. Vladimir Putin said this at a press conference in Astana on October 14.
"Now, 222,000 people have been mobilized out of 300,000 in the formation troops. I think that all mobilization measures will be completed within about two weeks," Putin said.
At the same time, the President of Russia stated that the Ministry of Defense originally planned to gather a smaller number - not 300,000 people - through "partial mobilization".
According to Putin, the partial mobilization to Russia is being completed, and the general mobilization is not planned.
"Nothing additional is planned. No proposals have been received from the Ministry of Defense in this regard, and I do not see the need for anything in the near future," he said.
Putin also stated that the "nonsense" with the mobilization is related to the old forms of accounting.
