Mobile boiler rooms will be installed at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant captured by the occupiers to protect the critical system from the cold.

"At the station, testing and commissioning of mobile diesel boilers continues, which should prevent freezing of critical systems of the ZNPP in the winter and ensure heating of the working environment for its personnel," the message reads.

They said there that boiler rooms with a capacity of 1-3 MW are installed on one of the power units, and some more are located on the territory of the station.

It is noted that the ZNPP has 20 stationary emergency diesel generators, which are in standby mode and are ready to provide electricity if external power is unavailable.

However, as clarified by the organization, in order to increase the ability to cope with such a loss of electricity, mobile diesel generators are currently being deployed as a precaution. Two of them are already connected to one block. Several more generators are planned to be tested and then connected to other reactors.
