The change in tactics of the Russian military complicates the task of the Ukrainian defenders, but they still cannot break through the armed forces in the east. This was stated by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevy, on the air of the telethon.
According to Cherevaty, most likely, the Armed Forces forced the Russians to change their tactics. He noted that Ukrainians have been using tactics of small groups since the battles near Kyiv.
Mercenaries with experience from the "Wagner" PMC teach the newly arrived occupiers the basic elements of battle tactics, how to use the terrain, the weather.
"This complicates our work somewhat, but I wouldn't say that they have completely switched to tactics that can change the course of events. Despite the change in tactics, they fail to do the most important thing - systematically break through our defenses, enter the operational space and go deep of our Donbas and continue to occupy our territory," Cherevuvatiy said.
According to the colonel, the hottest spot on the eastern front remains Bakhmut, where the greatest intensity of enemy attacks and attempts to break through our defenses is recorded.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military recorded the depletion of the enemy's stock of 122 and 152 mm ammunition, which he is already forced to deliver from remote regions.
"The enemy's advantage in projectiles has significantly decreased. If we take into account the accuracy of our artillery, then we reach parity somewhere. Because our high-precision systems destroy Russian field warehouses, barracks and means of defeat every day. Our gunners are more skillful, and with the acquisition of newer equipment, they have become more effective," he added.
