As part of his visit to Ukraine, the Minister of Defense of Sweden, Paul Jonsson, visited Mykolaiv and Odesa together with his Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov.
"I am deeply impressed by the resistance of the Ukrainian armed forces and people. We discussed how best to support Ukraine in the next military aid packages and how we can support Ukraine during Sweden's presidency of the EU Council in 2023," he said.
Oleksiy Reznikov revealed more details of the discussions, noting that it was about strengthening air defense, land, sea and air forces.
"I am grateful to the Ministry of Defense and the Government of Sweden, the King and the Swedish people for the ninth aid package," he added.
