The IAEA will send permanent missions to all Ukrainian nuclear power plants - Shmyhal

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will send permanent technical missions to all Ukrainian nuclear power plants. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal following the negotiations with the Director General of the IAEA, Raphael Grossi.

"The IAEA will send permanent technical missions to all NPPs of Ukraine. We agreed on this at the meeting with Rafael Grossi," Shmyhal wrote on Twitter.

According to the prime minister, the parties also discussed the demilitarization of the Zaporizhzhуa NPP. "It is necessary to stop Russia's illegal actions at the Ukrainian power plant," Shmyhal said.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi hopes that the nuclear safety zone around the Zaporizhzhуa NPP will be agreed upon and established in the near future.
