Let's not get involved in this war: the prime minister of Georgia ruled out military aid to Ukraine

Prime Minister of Georgia Iraklii Garibashvili said that military supplies to Ukraine are excluded - this is the principled position of the government, "Noviny Georgia" reports.

"Regarding military aid, we clearly and unequivocally said that we will not do it. We, as a state, will never get involved in this war. This is our clear position," said the Prime Minister.

Andrii Kasyanov, Ukraine's temporary charge d'affaires in Georgia, said at a briefing the day before that the Ukrainian side appealed to Tbilisi several times after the beginning of the Russian invasion in February with a request to help with weapons and ammunition.

Garibashvili stated that the Georgian government has already done a lot to help Ukraine in the form of humanitarian aid, and this will be continued.

According to the Prime Minister, a large amount of humanitarian aid was sent to Ukraine, both from the government and from the population, Georgia also accepts Ukrainian refugees and organizes training in the Ukrainian language.

"As for other additional humanitarian aid, we will review it again, find a way to help and, of course, continue this aid," Garibashvili said.
