The armed forces of Ukraine can receive tanks from the USA, Germany and Spain.

This was reported by the head of the permanent delegation of the Verkhovna Rada to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Yehor Chernev.

"Ukraine finally has a chance to get Western tanks," he wrote.

According to him, during the meetings with delegations of NATO countries at the Parliamentary Assembly, one of the tasks of Ukraine was to eliminate the obstacles that have so far blocked the allocation of heavy armored vehicles.

"I can't yet go into the details of the closed circle that we had to break, but it seems that we managed to find a way out. We agreed on the mechanism with all the delegations of the key suppliers of tanks for us - Germany, Spain and, most importantly - the USA." - Chernyov wrote.

He added that the process should be launched after the delegations return home. In particular, in the States, a whole group of congressmen of both parties will take this up.

It will be recalled that earlier the Pentagon announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth 400 million dollars, which includes T-72 tanks.

The representative of the US Ministry of Defense, Sabrina Singh, clarified that the United States is paying for the repair and modernization of 45 Czech tanks, and the Netherlands will pay for another 45 tanks. Some of the tanks will arrive in Ukraine by the end of December, the rest in 2023.

In addition, Ukraine hopes for a direct supply of Leopard 2 tanks from Germany.
