People's deputies from the "European Solidarity" faction submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on banning the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church on the territory of Ukraine.
People's deputy Iryna Friz writes about this on her Facebook page.
As Frize explained, the draft law provides for a complete ban on religious organizations, as well as institutions that are part of or recognize subordination in canonical, organizational, and other matters of the Russian Orthodox Church.
"The purpose of the draft law is to prevent threats to the national security of Ukraine and to ensure order, because for too long the Russian Orthodox Church has conducted open anti-Ukrainian and subversive activities and advocated all the actions of the criminal Russian regime," said the People's Deputy.
According to the people's deputy, the activity of religious organizations should be carried out taking into account the Patriarchal and Synodal Tomos.
