The Russian military has almost exhausted its supply of Iranian drones, but will try to get new batches. This was reported by the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.
As the intelligence officers noted, since September, the Russian army has probably released hundreds of Iranian drones over Ukraine.
Military targets and critical infrastructure were mainly attacked, intelligence said. It is believed that the Russians resorted to the use of UAVs to compensate for the severe shortage of cruise missiles, but this approach had limited success, with most of the drones launched being destroyed.
"There have been no publicly reported UAV strikes since around November 17, 2022. Russia is likely to have nearly exhausted its current stockpile, but will likely seek replenishment. Russia will probably be able to procure UAVs from abroad faster than it can produce new cruise missiles domestically countries," added British intelligence officers.
On November 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed an expert meeting with representatives of Iran regarding kamikaze drones used by Russia.
