British intelligence has assessed where Russia can transfer the troops withdrawn from Kherson

The Russian command may transfer part of the troops withdrawn from Kherson to the Bakhmut direction in the Donetsk region.

The British Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter.

British intelligence notes that after the withdrawal of troops to the left bank of the Dnipro in the Kherson region, the occupiers continue to re-equip and prepare for defense in most areas of the front.

"Units (of Russian troops - ed.) built new trench systems near the border with Crimea, as well as near the Siverskyi Donets River between the Donetsk and Luhansk regions," the message says.

Some of these defensive lines are located 60 km from the front line. This may indicate that the Russians are preparing for a further counteroffensive of the Armed Forces. In addition, British intelligence believes that the Russian Federation will transfer part of the troops from the south to the Bakhmut region.

"It is quite likely that Russia will eventually try to redeploy part of the forces withdrawn from Kherson to strengthen and expand its offensive operations near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region," explains intelligence.
