The Russian occupiers fired 85 missile strikes at Ukraine, most of the missiles hit the energy infrastructure. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, announced this in a video message.
"85 missile strikes were fired at Ukraine, at our cities, most of them at the energy infrastructure. It is clear that what the enemy wants, he will not get what he wants. I may still have about 20 strikes ahead," Zelenskiy said.
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that on November 15, the Russian occupiers fired about 100 missiles at Ukraine, surpassing the missile attack on October 10, when there were 84 missiles.
On the Facebook page of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, it was noted that today's massive shelling by Russian aggressors of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine may also affect the energy systems of some neighboring countries.
This was announced by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Hlushchenko, who also noted that this is the most massive shelling of the energy system since the beginning of the war.
"The attacks are taking place throughout the Ukrainian energy system: both on generation facilities and on the electricity transmission system. This attack can have an impact not only on the energy system of Ukraine, but also on the energy systems of some of our neighbors," he emphasized.
Instead, emergency shutdowns have been introduced throughout Ukraine, Glushchenko noted.
"After defeats in the military and international arenas, the enemy is making another attempt at terrorist revenge and is trying to cause maximum damage to our energy system on the eve of winter," he noted.
Hlushchenko asked all Ukrainians to understand the critical situation with energy supply, to keep calm and trust the energy sector and the Armed Forces.
