A training mission for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has started in the EU

On Tuesday, November 15, the European Union launched a training mission for the Ukrainian military.

 This is reported by the Council of the EU.

 "The purpose of the mission, officially established on October 17, is to increase the military potential of the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that they can protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, as well as protect the civilian population," the EU noted.

 As you know, it is planned to train 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers as part of the mission. Training will take place in several EU countries.

 The mission commander will be Vice Admiral Hervé Blejean, Director of the Department of Military Planning and Conduct.

 In addition, the EU reports that it has allocated 16 million euros to support capacity building of the Armed Forces. This assistance package will include:

 ammunition, military equipment and platforms designed to deliver lethal force;

 transportation, storage and maintenance and repair of aid-financed equipment;

 We will remind that the EU has officially launched a training mission for the Ukrainian military. The mission is designed for two years, 106.7 million euros should be allocated for these purposes. It is planned to train Ukrainian servicemen in Poland and Germany.
