After the summit, the Group of 20 still plans to issue a joint statement condemning Russian aggression, but not on behalf of all countries.
This was reported by AFP, which was followed by other Western media outlets.
The interlocutor from the USA told journalists on condition of anonymity that a joint statement is still being prepared and that it will include condemnation of Russian aggression.
"I think you will see that the majority of G20 members clearly condemn the Russian war in Ukraine, that they consider it the primary source of huge economic and humanitarian problems in the world," he said.
The official did not specify how many countries from the "20" will join the condemnation and how they plan to formalize the inconsistent condemnation of Russian aggression within the framework of the statement, if it is joint - since the Russian Federation is also among the participating countries.
Earlier, similar information was received by the German agency dpa - according to their source, Russia is ready to agree to the fact that a passage condemning the war against Ukraine will be included in the final declaration of the G20 summit.
