On Tuesday, JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" resumes passenger flights between Kyiv and Mykolaiv, and within 10 days after completing the inspection of the roads and repairing the damaged infrastructure, it expects to restore passenger connections with Kherson as well, Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov announced.
"Now that the Ukrainian military has pushed back the front line, we are launching a direct Kyiv-Mykolaiv railway connection. The first train will leave this evening," Kubrakov wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
He added that as of today, road companies have begun clearing highways so that humanitarian aid, rescuers, signalmen, and the post office can reach people as soon as possible.
Kubrakov noted that during the escape from the territory of Kherson, the enemy blew up 14 bridges.
"Road services are coordinating work with the military, and as soon as the security situation allows, we will dismantle bridge structures," the minister wrote.
