Ukrainian television and radio were returned to liberated Kherson

The broadcast of Ukrainian television resumed in Kherson. Currently, one of the Ukrainian channels broadcasting a single news marathon is available to the residents of liberated Kherson and nearby settlements on 31 channels in the T2 digital format. This was reported by the press service of the State Special Communications.

As noted in the press service, it was possible to resume broadcasting thanks to new powerful transmitters, which were provided to the Concern of radio broadcasting, radio communication and television by Polish colleagues - Emitel SA Company. A few days before the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region, the specialists of the Concern installed a transmitter with a power of 4 kW in the Mykolaiv region near the demarcation line at that time.

In order to watch Ukrainian television, residents of the Kherson region should search for channels in the T2 format on their own televisions, pointing the antenna towards the Mykolaiv region.

The Concern also reported that residents of the Kherson region can listen to the first channel of Ukrainian radio at a frequency of 92.0 MHz in the FM range. The signal strength is sufficient to receive it even in some areas of the currently occupied part of the Kherson region.

"Now we broadcast only one channel of Ukrainian television and radio, because for us the primary task was to provide Ukrainians with access to information as quickly as possible," - noted the Technical Director of the Concern, Serhiy Semerey.
