Russian Defense Minister Serhiy Shoigu ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from the right bank of the Kherson region. RosZMI quoted his statement.
The commander of the Russian troops in the war in Ukraine, Serhii Surovikin, suggested to Shoigu "to occupy the defense on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region."
"I understand that this is a very difficult decision. At the same time, we will preserve the lives of our servicemen and the combat capability of the troops. It is hopeless to keep them on the right bank," said Surovikin.
Russian Defense Minister Serhiy Shoigu agreed and ordered the withdrawal of Russian troops from the right bank of the Kherson region.
"Start withdrawing troops," he said.
