Russian troops are creating conditions for an organized withdrawal from the western bank of the Dnieper in order to avoid a debacle in the Kherson region, according to a report by analysts of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
As analysts predict, the Russian occupiers are creating conditions for a controlled withdrawal in the northwest of the Kherson region in order to avoid a disorderly escape from the right (western) bank of the Dnieper. The Russians will probably have to retreat with the fighting so that Ukrainian forces do not pursue them on the left (eastern) bank, the report said.
At the same time, ISW believes that "the Russian military is probably trying to use mobilized personnel to resume the offensive on Donetsk, but most likely they will still not be able to achieve significant success."
Also, according to the report, Russian President Vladimir Putin is creating conditions for the continuation of covert mobilization, which suggests that the partial mobilization did not create sufficient forces to achieve the goals. However, Russia's military deployment measures are likely to continue to put pressure on the Russian economy and cause social tensions.
Analysts note that Iran, most likely, is already using Russian dependence on Iranian-made weapons systems to ask the Russian Federation for help in its nuclear program.
