Russian troops have deployed blocking units that threaten to shoot deserters. This was reported on Twitter by the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.
"Due to low morale and reluctance to fight, Russian troops have probably started deploying 'blocking troops' or 'blocking units'. These units threaten to shoot their own retreating soldiers," the report said.
According to British intelligence, recently Russian generals wanted their commanders to use weapons against deserters. The high command of the Russian army wants the military to defend itself to the death.
"The tactics of shooting deserters probably indicate the low quality, morale and indiscipline of the Russian troops," added the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.
