The Parliament of Bulgaria unblocked the supply of military aid to Ukraine

The National Assembly of Bulgaria on Thursday supported the resolution on the supply of military and technical aid to Ukraine. This is reported by BDNES.

The document initiated by the parties GERB-SDS and "Democratic Bulgaria" was voted for by the overwhelming majority of parliamentarians - 175, including the party of the former Acting Prime Minister of Bulgaria Stefan Yanev Bulgarian Rise.

49 spoke against it, including the pro-Russian "Renaissance" and the Bulgarian Socialist Party, and three more abstained.

The resolution means that the Bulgarian government now has 30 days to submit a draft decision on the supply of weapons to Ukraine to the parliament.

During the discussion of the document, the deputy of the pro-European party "Continuing the changes" Daniel Lorer called the storage of a large amount of Soviet weapons in Bulgaria cynical as a justification for the need to guarantee the country's security.

The leader of the Bulgarian socialists, Kornelia Ninova, in her turn, repeated the position of the political power: the supply of weapons to Ukraine can turn Bulgaria into a conflict.
