Losses of the Russian army in armored vehicles in Ukraine in mid-October reached more than 40 units per day.

This is stated in the intelligence review of the Ministry of Defense of Britain on Thursday.

Intelligence notes that Russian soldiers in Ukraine, in all likelihood, are disappointed that they are forced to serve in old infantry fighting vehicles, which they call "aluminum cans."

In mid-October, against the background of the Ukrainian offensive, losses of Russian armored vehicles increased to more than 40 units per day, which is roughly equivalent to the combat capability of the battalion.

In recent weeks, Russia has probably resorted to purchasing at least 100 additional tanks and infantry fighting vehicles from Belarusian stocks.

"Armored units and artillery occupy a central place in Russia's way of waging war; the army in Ukraine is now experiencing problems due to difficulties in finding both artillery ammunition and sufficient serviceable armored vehicles in return," the survey says.
