The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova published a statement after the shelling of Ukraine in the morning of October 31 by the Russian army and the fall of a Russian missile on the territory of Moldova.

The ministry reiterated its strong condemnation of missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities - including a missile that was shot down by Ukrainian air defense and landed on the northern outskirts of Naslavchi in northern Moldova.
"These attacks, which further exacerbate the security situation, are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which prohibits targeting civilians and their infrastructure," the statement said.
It is noted that on Monday morning, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs contacted the Embassy of Moldova in Kyiv to obtain assurances that all employees are safe.
The Ministry notes that the attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine cause enormous economic and social damage to the entire European continent, in particular, to the citizens of Moldova, who feel the consequences of the war in the neighborhood.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns Russia's use of energy resources as a weapon," the ministry added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reminded of the need for anti-missile and anti-aircraft defense systems after the fall of a Russian missile on the territory of Moldova.
During the massive shelling of Ukraine on October 10, three Russian missiles violated the airspace of Moldova.
