The Ministry of Defense of Russia announced "minor damage" to the minesweeper "Ivan Golubets", which allegedly occurred as a result of a "drone attack" in Sevastopol on the morning of October 29. The department is talking about an attack on ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian vessels that were on the external and internal raids of the Sevastopol base.
"The preparation of this terrorist act and the training of servicemen of the Ukrainian 73rd Special Naval Operations Center were carried out under the leadership of British specialists who are in the city of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine," the message states.
The department also stated that representatives of this unit of the British Navy participated in the "planning, provision and implementation of a terrorist act" in the Baltic Sea on September 26 regarding the undermining of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.
"Nine unmanned aerial vehicles and seven autonomous marine unmanned aerial vehicles were involved in the attack. (…) The sea minesweeper "Ivan Golubets" suffered minor damage, as well as the boom net barrier in Pivdenna bay," the ministry said.
The press service reported that the ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, which came under attack, are involved in ensuring the security of the "grain corridor" through which agricultural products are exported from Ukrainian ports.
It is also emphasized that "all air targets were destroyed by the forces of the ships of the fleet."
