British intelligence: Ukraine is getting better at bringing down Iranian "Shahedis"

British intelligence reports that Ukrainian air defense forces are increasingly successfully shooting down Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones, with which Russia has begun to compensate for the lack of its own missiles.

This is stated in the review of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain about the war in Ukraine for October 24.

It is noted that Russia continues to use Iranian UAVs for targets throughout Ukraine, and Ukraine is increasingly successfully fighting the Shahed-136. It is officially claimed that up to 85% of all launched kamikaze drones can be neutralized.

"These drones are slow, noisy and fly at low altitude, so a single aircraft is an easy target for conventional air defense assets. Russia has probably deployed large numbers of Iranian Shaheds to penetrate Ukraine's more effective air defenses, using them as a replacement for high-precision long-range rockets of our own production, which are becoming less and less," the review notes.
