On October 21, the Parliament of Bulgaria will continue its "first meeting" after the elections and will try to elect a speaker, which is necessary for the further work of the legislative body.
As Nova.bg writes.
The work of the parliament is actually blocked until the deputies decide on a speaker. According to the constitution, the speaker should be elected at the first meeting. The most senior deputy, who traditionally opens it, has only a ceremonial role.
Attempts by political parties to agree on a candidate have so far yielded no results, although the candidates are constantly changing.
As reported, the party of the ex-prime minister of Bulgaria, which won the elections, failed to form a new government.
