On the night of October 21, the Ukrainian military struck the Antonivsky bridge in Kherson. At the same time, it was carried out during the curfew, so civilians were not injured.
This was reported by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Nataliya Gumeniuk, on the air of the telethon.
"Yes, we maintain fire control, but I have repeatedly noted that we do not strike at critical infrastructure objects to damage. We do not strike at peaceful settlements and the local population," she said.
It should be noted that earlier the occupiers stated that 12 missile strikes from HIMARS were carried out on the Antonivsky Bridge, which resulted in casualties.
"Even the occupiers themselves claim that civilians cannot be on the bridge at this time, because it is a curfew and very strict measures are taken against those who might violate it. There were no civilians there," Humenyuk stressed.
At the same time, she noted that the occupiers, who had changed into civilian clothes, could have been injured as a result of the strike.
"They are trying to hide their affiliation with the military and create the image that the civilian population is being shelled. But this is not the case," she added.
We will remind, on July 19, the Antoniv bridge was shelled. It was damaged but still serviceable.
