Russia is going to "review relations" with the UN if the organization investigates the drones shot down over Ukraine. The Kremlin said that Russia allegedly "uses only drones of its own production" during the attacks.
This was stated by the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN, Dmytro Polyanskyi.
"We have our own industry for the production of drones, which creates products for this campaign, so all the accusations remain on the conscience of our Western colleagues," Polyansky said at a meeting with journalists following the closed session of the UN Security Council, where accusations of supplies by Iran were made drones of Russia.
As "proof" of his words, Polyansky recalled that the drones found in Ukraine have inscriptions in Russian.
"I don't think that Russian is so widely used in Iran," he said.
Polyansky added that Russia will "reassess relations" with the UN secretariat and the organization's secretary general if they take part in the investigation into the supply of Iranian drones to Russia.
"We hope that the secretariat and the Secretary General himself will not again violate the decisions of the UN Security Council, will not go beyond their technical mandate and will refrain from participating in any illegal investigations. Otherwise, we will have to reevaluate our cooperation with them, which does not serve anyone's interests." , - he stated.
