Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to provide Ukraine with air defense systems, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said.
"Today, Ukraine will send an official note to the government of Israel with a request to urgently provide Ukraine with air defense systems and initiate high-quality cooperation regarding Ukraine's acquisition of relevant technologies," Kuleba said at an online briefing on Tuesday.
He noted that Ukraine has long persistently urged Israel to open up to cooperation in the field of air defense.
"We don't see any objective reason why this shouldn't happen, but it's not happening. Iran is a 'red line' for Israel. After Iran became directly complicit in the crime of aggression against Ukraine, anyone in Israel who still has some doubts about whether to help Ukraine or not - these doubts should be dispelled. We will work on this with our Israeli partners," Kuleba emphasized.
According to the minister, if Israel's policy really consists in consistently countering Iran's destructive actions, then it is time for Israel to openly side with Ukraine.
"We have long said that the policy of balancing in the conditions of Russian aggression, the policy of so-called neutrality in the matter of providing practical assistance to Ukraine does not contribute to the achievement of peace." everyone who helps her. Currently, Iran is really helping the Russian Federation with specific weapons," Kuleba said.
He added that today the same drones that destroy Ukraine are aimed at Israel,
"And this should be the starting point for the development of Israeli policy," Kuleba is convinced.
