Ukraine and Russia must return to the negotiating table, because there is no other way out of the war.

As BFM TV reports, this was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron.

He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin should stop the war, respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine and return to the negotiating table.

"At some point, I hope, as soon as possible, we will have to return to the negotiating table. I believe that it is in the interests of Ukraine and Russia to return to the negotiating table," the president said.

At the same time, he emphasized that it is not for France to resolve the issue of negotiations, but for Ukrainians.

"If necessary, I will talk to Vladimir Putin," Macron said.

We will remind, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that Ukraine will be ready to negotiate with Russia only after the election of a new leader.

This statement was made after Putin signed the agreement on the so-called "entry into the Russian Federation of new territories" - Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
