The Hungarian minister is expected to visit Moscow again

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, may visit Moscow again this week, breaking the European diplomatic isolation of the Russian Federation.

Siyarto is expected to participate in the large-scale conference "Russian Energy Week" held by the Russian government.

Peter Szijjarto is an announced and confirmed conference participant on Thursday 13 October on the panel entitled "Global Energy Trends: Today and Tomorrow".

The forum program states that Sijarto will be present at the event live and will not be included online.

In the period of strict political isolation of Russia, no other European official will come to this event for official participation. Only representatives of the partner states of the Russian Federation: Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, and Laos agreed to participate in the government event.

As reported, in July, Peter Sijarto was already breaking Russia's isolation. He became the first official since the beginning of the invasion to visit Moscow not for peace talks, but to resolve bilateral issues. So far, none of the other ministers of the EU states has repeated such a step.
