As a result of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops injured at least 789 children in Ukraine, killed 418. The Prosecutor General's Office reported this on Telegram.
"More than 1,207 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of October 7, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed - 418. The number of injured has increased - more than 789," the message says.
The most affected children were in Donetsk oblast - 405, Kharkiv oblast - 252, Kyiv oblast - 116, Mykolaiv oblast - 75, Chernihiv oblast - 68, Luhansk oblast - 64, Kherson oblast - 57, Zaporizhzhya oblast - 50, Dnipropetrovsk oblast - 30.
As noted, these numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to determine the injured and dead in active hostilities, as well as in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
By bombing and shelling, Russian troops damaged 2,608 educational institutions in Ukraine, of which 313 were completely destroyed.
