Ukrainian defenders continue to advance in the south of our country, in particular in the north of the Kherson region. However, the occupiers do not relax their shelling of the positions of the Armed Forces and populated areas.
This was reported by the head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalia Gumenyuk, during a briefing.
"The situation remains tense and its development is very dynamic. You can see it from open sources. We are taking active actions, we are advancing. There are directions in which the deepening along the front line is taking place up to 20 kilometers. These are the liberated settlements, we have already declared eight since the beginning of the month," Humenyuk noted.
According to her, the attacks on the enemy, in particular by Iranian kamikaze drones, are partly connected with the successes of the Armed Forces at the front. In this way, Russian troops are trying to put pressure on the civilian population and stop the assaults of Ukrainian defenders.
At the same time, Humenyuk added that Ukrainian troops continue to advance and de-occupy Ukrainian lands, pushing back the enemy.
"People greet (the Ukrainian military - ed.) warmly, people greet them with tears, but they are tears of happiness... Gradually, people begin to tell how they lived during the occupation, expose the moments that happened there and which will be the basis criminal proceedings," said the spokeswoman.
We will remind, on October 4, the Operational Command "South" officially confirmed the liberation of eight settlements in the Kherson region.
