Russia's ambassador to Moldova, Oleg Vasnetsov, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to condemn the pseudo-referendums and Russia's declaration of annexation of the occupied territories of Ukraine.

As noted, Foreign Minister Niku Popescu will express to Vasnetsov Chisinau's position that Moldova does not recognize and will not recognize pseudo-referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine and calls on the Russian Federation to stop its aggression against Ukraine.
"We strongly condemn the attempt of illegal annexation of these Ukrainian territories. It contradicts all the principles of international law," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.
Earlier, a number of other European countries summoned Russian ambassadors because of this.
