Mothers of conscripts serving in the Leningrad region said that their sons were either going to be sent to "strengthen the border" with Ukraine, or had already been sent to the border regions of the Belgorod region. This was reported by the Dosh newspaper.

According to the mothers of five servicemen, conscripts of the 25th Motorized Rifle Brigade from the city of Luga, Leningrad region, were transferred to a military unit near the city of Kamianka to prepare them for deployment to the Belgorod region. Most of the soldiers will be sent to the Valuyki area of the city on Wednesday or Thursday. The command does not name the specific goals of the trip.

From 200 to 400 people are planned to be sent to the border regions. All of them were drafted in July 2022 and did not have time to complete the three-month training. At the same time, conscripts of the Taman and Kantemir divisions are already on the border with Ukraine.

The mother of one of the soldiers, Iryna Kurdyukova, reported that her son was told about being sent to the Belgorod region on July 15, and he was already there the next day. She added that her son came under fire several times from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"During the phone conversation, the son dropped the phone and had to run to the emergency shelter. During the conversation, air defense fired a rocket directly above them," she said.

The Russian command is putting pressure on the Russian emergency services to sign the contract. They are currently being sent to defend the Belgorod region "to protect the state border".
