Ukraine accepted Denmark's offer to train Ukrainian servicemen on Danish soil.
This was stated by Defense Minister Morten Bedskov during a visit to Kyiv, writes Ekstra Bladet.
"The training will take place in Denmark. I cannot go into details, but the training of Ukrainian servicemen will take place in Denmark," said Bydskov.
In August, it became known that Denmark will send 130 instructors to Great Britain in the fall to train Ukrainian soldiers.
At the same time, it became known from the Minister of Defense of Denmark that he proposed to Ukraine that soldiers could also train on Danish soil.
The minister did not rule out that the military could arrive in Denmark before the end of the year.
"Denmark is one of the countries where training will take place, and there are other European countries that have also started training activities," he said.
The minister added that Denmark has "many years of experience in preparing the Ukrainian defense". This was the case, for example, in Ukraine from 2015 until the Russian invasion on February 24.
The head of the Danish Defense Ministry arrived in Kyiv together with his Estonian colleague Hanno Pevkur. They met with Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov and President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
