The Ukrainian army can push back the Russian occupiers at the February 23 position by the end of this year. At the same time, the return of Crimea is possible as early as 2023.
This was said by the former commander of US forces in Europe, Ben Hodges, in an interview with Channel 24.
"I am sure that Russians do not have the will to fight. They do not join the army. The Kremlin is looking for reserves in North Korea, Africa, Syria. Even in prisons to force someone to fight in the miserable Russian army. Because people do not want become part of it. All this suggests that the Russians are vulnerable and exhausted," Hodges said.
According to him, the Russians will "spill" if several important factors are observed:
maintaining unity,
supporting Ukraine with everything necessary,
if everyone continues to talk about the need for Ukraine to win and help it achieve it.
"I have a feeling that the next few weeks are going to be tough, and potentially that Russian troops will fall. I don't see how they can improve their position in the near future. However, we have to give Ukraine everything it needs," Hodges said.
